About

Design, build, and everything in between

Creative Mash is Matthew Reilly, a designer and builder with 18 years in brands, websites and digital products, based in Ireland. He leads every project and curates the team around it, bringing in freelancers he knows and trusts when a job needs more hands.

We design and build websites for our clients. Then we look for the slow, repetitive parts of their day and build those away: a plugin, a small app, or a connection between the tools they already use.

We also work inside other studios and teams. Bring us in for the build your designers have already mapped out, the system nobody in-house has time for, or a project that needs taking from first sketch to launch.

Whoever joins a project, Matthew is your point of contact from the first call to launch and after.

What we do

Brands, websites, and the systems between them.

Logos

A mark that works at the size of an app icon and on the side of a van, drawn from scratch and tested everywhere it has to live.

Brands

The whole identity around the mark: colour, type, voice and templates, with the rules written down so it stays consistent.

Websites

Designed and built on WordPress, fast and clear, and easy for your team to update without a developer.

Systems

Anything from a small WordPress plugin to a full app built from scratch, and the connections between the tools your team already uses, AI ones included.

What we build

From a plugin to a whole product

A tool can be as small as one plugin or as big as a product with its own users. We build across that whole range, and we'll tell you which size the problem actually needs.

Days to a couple of weeks

A plugin

One job, done properly. A menu backup, a pattern generator, a custom block, a form that behaves. Days, not months.

A few weeks

A connection or internal app

Something that sits between the tools you already use. A form that files itself in the CRM, a document that writes itself from the data, an approval step that runs on its own.

Months, in phases

A full product

An app built from the first idea to launch and beyond: discovery, design, prototypes, build, testing, launch and the care it needs afterwards.

How a build runs

From the first idea to launch, and after

Every build follows the same path. A plugin might take a week to walk it; a product might take months. Nothing gets skipped, it just gets sized to the job.

01
Discovery
What it needs to do, who uses it, what it has to connect to, and what's getting in the way today. We map the tools you already have before adding one.
02
Scope and plan
What's in the first version and what can wait. A fixed price for a fixed scope, or phases if the shape isn't clear yet.
03
Design
Sketches first, then mockups of every screen, in your brand. Nothing gets built until it looks right and makes sense.
04
Prototype
A clickable version you can hand to the people who'll use it. Cheap to change at this stage, expensive later.
05
Build
In short rounds, with something to look at every week or two. Accessibility, security and speed are built in, not bolted on.
06
Test and iterate
Real people, real data, real devices. We fix what trips them up and go again until it's smooth.
07
Launch
Hosting, accounts, moving any existing content or data across, a hand-over your team can follow, and training so nobody needs us to make a change.
08
Maintain
Updates, backups, monitoring and small improvements, on a monthly arrangement if you want one. Or we hand over the keys and the documentation and step back.
